My photos and collages arise when I come across something that I find visually striking or intriguing, something that calls for a response. When something 'looks at me,' it doesn't matter if it's a color or an underlying structure, figurative or abstract, a passerby or a flower or a poster peeling from a construction fence -- it's all part of the great surround, and all grist for my mill.
