Congratulations to clay sculptor Sandra Giunta for the Special Recognition certificate she received for her piece in the current Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) national juried show Wide Open 9. This year’s show juror is Carmen Hermo, the Brooklyn Museum’s Assistant Curator for the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. Wide Open 9 is open for viewing every weekend through June 17, in Red Hook near Fairway and Ikea. Info and directions here. Sandra is also exhibiting three pieces in the BWAC Member Show on the 2nd floor gallery in the same location. BWAC is one of our favorite locations to explore art in a fascinating Brooklyn waterfront neighborhood.
